Our elastane yarns are primarily developed for sock manufacturing on circular knitting machines, where elasticity, recovery and stable knitting performance are essential.

They are commonly knitted together with cotton, polyamide or other yarns to provide stretch and durability in knitted products.

This helps maintain shape retention and wearing comfort in the finished product.

Available Elastane Yarn Types

Air covered elastane yarn (ACY)

Air Covered Elastane (ACY)

Air covered yarns are produced by covering elastane (spandex) with polyamide or polyester using compressed air technology.
This construction provides good elasticity and stable performance in high-speed circular knitting.

Typical specifications:

Elastane 20D + PES 75D (22 dtex + 83 dtex)
Elastane 20D + PA6 70D (22 dtex + 78 dtex)

Single covered elastane yarn (SCY)

Single Covered Elastane (SCY)

Single covered yarns are produced by covering an elastane core with polyamide or polyester yarn.
They provide controlled elasticity and good stability during knitting.

Typical specifications:

Elastane 20D + PA6 70D (22 dtex + 78 dtex)
Elastane 20D + PA6 30D (22 dtex + 33 dtex)
Elastane 30D + PES 75D (33 dtex + 83 dtex)

Applications

Sock applications

Elastane yarns are mainly used in socks to provide elasticity and shape retention, especially in cuffs and rib structures.

They are typically knitted together with cotton or other yarns and used as the inside layer of the sock, providing elasticity while maintaining a soft and comfortable touch against the skin.

Other knitting applications

Besides socks, these yarns can also be used for other circular knitted products such as gloves, as well as flat knitted fabrics when plated with other yarns.
